Nazomonogatari (謎物語) is an escape room game available on PC and mobile devices. A limited time game, it was planned for one year, having released on June 6, 2024, and was originally planned to end service on June 5, 2025,[1] but the service was extended to last until June 5, 2026.[2]
Development
The game features an original story supervised by Nisio Isin and is developed by the studio Scrap.[3] Scrap has also made escape room games for franchises like Evangelion and Chainsaw Man. As opposed to their previous games, Nazomonogatari is their first to be available online only. While it is digital only, there are bonus physical materials for the game's main 5 heroines, available at an extra cost.
Scrap has announced that while internet access won't be limited to Japan, customer service and language support will be exclusive to Japan.
Plot
As an escape room game, Nazomonogatari is mystery focused. Nazomonogatari itself means "Mystery Story".
The player is in the role of Koyomi, with the main 5 heroines being Hitagi, Mayoi, Suruga, Nadeko and Tsubasa. Meme, Karen and Tsukihi also make appearances.
